OUR GENEROUS SILVER SPONSORS FOR 2024

Golfing for Gabe’s is one of our major fundraising activities of the year. As a not-for-profit, we invest everything back into the school. Supporting our Golf Day directly contributes to the daily live of our students, supporting their needs.

You can get involved by playing as an individual, registering a team of four, or by becoming a corporate sponsor.

Gabe's Golf Day has been successfully running since 1997. It attracts businesses and locals from all over Sydney, and especially the Hills District. The day includes 18 holes of golf - this year at one of Sydney's premier courses, Castle Hill Country Club - as well as a networking lunch with a bit of fun thrown in.

For the school, this event is a major fundraising activity on our calendar and we welcome and appreciate the support from businesses buying a team to play, or considering a sponsorship. St Gabriel's is a not-for-profit, registered with ACNC and with DGR status. You can find out more what we do here.

What are we raising funds for?

This year, our goal is to fund the upgrade of our outdoor learning areas. Practical and accessible outdoor learning spaces are part of our 2024 goals. Research suggests that outdoor learning boosts confidence, social skills, communication, motivation, physical skills, knowledge and understanding. And 88% of teachers say that children are more engaged in learning when taking lessons outdoors.

“There is substantial evidence to indicate that adequately planned and well taught outdoor education curricula can have a positive effect on student outcomes, including educational, interpersonal, social and critical thinking skills, as well as mental and physical health.” – Education Victoria
