Gabes Gives Back

It’s important for us to ensure our students understand the feeling and experience of giving back to their community. That’s why why have created the Gabes Gives Back program in our school.

Gabes Gives Back is an initiative that ensures, as a school, we focus on at least 1-2 charitable projects each term. Some examples of these are our House cake stalls to raise money for nominated charities; outreach to local nursing homes; students cooking food for local homeless outreach and a Christmas Gift Drive for those in need.

As a school who is founded in the Edmund Rice Tradition, we feel this closely aligns with Edmund Rice’s mission to help those in need, as well as the current day EREA’s commitment to an Inclusive Community and Justice and Solidarity.

This morning some of those Primary senior students travelled to Catholic Healthcare nursing home, MacKillop House in Norwest, with Ms Cashmore to deliver the 7 bags of Easter goodies to the 90+ residents.
